About

Sydney-based artist Mary Stack works within the tradition of still life to examine the nature of perception and consider the visual tension between order and disorder.  Her work combines formal and conceptual elements and reflects a close observation and attention to detail.

Mary’s work has been shown in several exhibitions in Sydney, including CBD Gallery, Michael Reid Southern Highlands, and Sydney Contemporary.  She was a finalist in the 2024 National Emerging Art Prize.

Mary completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2023 and the National Art School purchased her work Untitled (Teatowel II) for their permanent collection.
